Can’t explain it
But I think I’ve overthought this
Mad apologies
In a moment all was lost
And you always knew this
As of late I’ve been
Overcome with this whole
Deep-inside-me-reeling thing
Now I’m used to it
Now you’re upstairs looking down
and you’re heavier still
Me and Eileen
In the basement
Making it all up as we go
Me and Eileen
In the dodge
I’d like to be there when it all goes wrong
Ancient timing
For a spell I thought
you didn’t understand it
Kiss it quick and see
Under nightshade
It’s delphinium, it’s blinding
As of late I’ve been
Overlooking part of
Your darkened exterior
Now I’m used to it
Shadow haunting the apartment
without reason
Me and Eileen
In the basement
Making it all up as we go
Me and Eileen
In the dodge
I’d like to be there when it all goes wrong
Shoegaze ist die Kunst des Dröhnens, doch „Everything Is Alive“ setzt diese Elemente nur sparsam ein. Statt Hall- und Zerr-Sounds aufzutürmen, schäumt die Musik in feinen Bläschen über.

The title track pulled me into Slow Crush's orbit, but Tremble held me there - alongside Lull from the Hush LP and the whole of Seasurfer's Dive In, it can send me into an altered state of consciousness. The album vibrates with hints and nudges, from Slowdive twangs to a Corgan-esque chord shift, but Slow Crush are their own sound - thick, dark melodic, etherealistic soundscapes with Isa Holliday's vocals both binding the music and rising above it. One of the best bands in years. sentientpoet
"Flower Of Life" yanks riot grrrl south through the unmistakable garage psych sound indispensable to the last 20-odd years of rock music out of Los Angeles. Bandcamp Album of the Day Mar 2, 2023
